Submerged bodies invites contemplation of the threshold of what emerges when we leave the surface behind. To submerged is to suspend gravity in order to enable silence and transformation.

“Submerged Bodies” does not arise from synthetic inertia, but rather from a living, biodegradable alchemy. Through bioplastics made from gelatin and cornstarch, biocomposites made from sea flakes, and polymers enriched with collagen and reused waste, the material behaves as a unified whole. These are bodies that emerge from the water and return to it, exploring the transformation of the organic in a state of constant dissolution.

Each piece acts as a translucent skin: it does not seek the permanence of ordinary plastic, but rather to integrate with and degrade into its surroundings.

Through transparencies, reliefs, and color gradients, each work captures the tension between weight and the sense of immersion. The structures invite a close look at forms that seem on the verge of dissolving or floating.
